Growing Up on an Island and the Tale of My Red Beach Ball
The story is about a little girl celebrating her fifth birthday on an island that makes a wish and about her red beach ball. In the story the mischievous Northeasterly Wind hears of Lizzy’s birthday and decides to pay a visit. When the Northeasterly Wind arrives, he takes Lizzy’s red beach ball for a whirl, which lands the beach ball in unruly waves off the island’s coast. Lizzy’s Mom swims out to rescue the ball and gets caught in a current heading out to sea. Lizzy is left to find a way to save her mom and her red beach ball.
